Domestic Sales Specialist:

The Domestic Sales Specialist will support the N. America regional sales representatives, sales associates, and regional managers by performing the following duties: Assist regional field sales representatives with sales order generation and processing, including: creating sales quotations; verify completeness and accuracy of customer sales orders with sales reps; obtaining management and finance approvals required for order acceptance; and sending order acknowledgements to customers and arranging order shipments; completion of any additional details to assure a correct order for entry into database; Work with outside sales representatives to keep account activities, demo supplies and literature up to date; Refer sales reps to appropriate contacts within Palomar to assist with their requests; Communicate with customers in a professional manner, maintain positive relationships and assist them with their orders or refer to other Palomar departments as needed to fulfill their requests; Enter new leads and update accounts in SalesForce and SalesLogix; Schedule tasks for the sales representatives to follow up on leads and customer inquiries; Update sales opportunities; add quotations, order information, important documents, e-mails and other correspondence to appropriate accounts; Correct account and contact data as errors are discovered or updates are requested; Provide individual assistance to sales reps who need basic and limited support in using SalesForce or Saleslogix specific to a customer/lead or software function; Handle inbound sales calls to provide introductory information about Palomar products to prospective customers and refer callers to their local sales representative for more specific details and product demonstrations; Answer call center line and triage callers to appropriate department and resources when necessary; Assist with phone coverage of Receptionist position; Provide other departments such as Finance, Customer Service, Legal, Training Coordinator, and Shipping with information about customers and orders as requested; Provide Area Sales Managers with reports and information as requested on their sales representatives, sales and order status; Complete sales related activities and projects as requested by Inside Sales Manager, VP of Sales or National Sales Manager and Other duties as assigned.  Candidate must possess an Associate's Degree in Business related field; Inside Sales experience preferred; Software experience including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint; CRM experience, Salesforce or SalesLogix preferred; Knowledge of medical terminology a plus; Professional verbal and written communication skills; Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize; Good mathematical skills; Multi-tasking skills; Good problem solving skills and Good computer skills with a working knowledge of Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, SalesLogix or similar CRM contact database.

Manufacturing Engineer:

The Manufacturing Engineer will develop, implement, and coordinate manufacturing processes in the Manufacturing department by performing the following duties: Develop and evaluate manufacturing processes and tooling/equipment requirements to meet product quality standards in addition to meeting management production goals; Write/incorporate changes to documentation utilizing the ECO process and Technical Deviations as required to track and control product for production; Develop and maintain component & assembly drawings and bills of material in a GMP design and document control environment; Interact with the Development group and/or other departments concerning product design, tooling, and testing to ensure efficient production methods and product yield; Assist Manufacturing Engineering Manager in making decisions regarding production testing and conformance to product specifications; Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency; Support and provide training to production personnel in the introduction of new products and process changes; Interact with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards; Member of the Material Review Board responsible for evaluating and the disposition of non-conforming parts and products; Maintain engineering notebook, electronic files, and or record keeping for product/component performance evaluation and tracking and other duties may be assigned. Candidate must possess a BS degree in Manufacturing Engineering degree (or mechanical/electrical discipline) with 2-5 years related experience in a high volume medical device manufacturing environment; Experience with development and implementation of software driven test fixtures a plus; Familiarity with opto-mechanical and electro-mechanical systems as part of a commercial medical device; Familiar with GMP in accordance with ISO and FDA medical device requirement is essential; Strong analytical and organizational skills; Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment; Demonstrated multi-tasking capabilities; Working knowledge with SolidWorks and Microsoft Office is required and must be hands on as an individual contributor on all phases of production.

Product Manager:

The Product Manager will develop and implement marketing plan for designated product/market area with the objective to maximize sales and profits; Coordinate product introduction and market exploitation with marketing and sales organizations to ensure maximum penetration of market segment; Identify and develop relationship with industry luminaries and may participate in negotiating with key customers regarding contract terms and conditions; Identify market potential, establish pricing and market strategies, estimate potential sales, introduce market, distribution/channel issues, and manage mature product through phase-out; Define and implement marketing plan including promotional activities, publicizing the product through the press, sales force, and alternate distribution channels; Provide expertise in particular product area and develop strategies and applicable portions of the company business plan; Identify new product requirements and works with research and manufacturing to develop and launch new products; Develop sales training programs and support the sales organization with expertise and account support as needed; Develop manufacturing forecast and manage product and pricing for maximum profitability; Communicate product performance, results and opportunities within the organization and with a wide range of functions and individuals; Provide continuing competitive product and market surveillance and report to management on emerging trends and opportunities; Other duties may be assigned and Up to 50% travel required. Applicant must possess an undergraduate degree, MBA preferred and a minimum of 2 years sales or marketing experience in relevant industry; Proven experience analyzing products, competition, pricing and industry trends combined with development and delivering of competitive messaging and positioning; Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; Excellent people skill to interact with staff, and cross-functional teams, and third parties; Ability to work both independently and within a team; Well organized and self-motivated; Attention to detail with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work within specific timeframes and Excellent computer skills with windows: Excel, Microsoft Word and Power Point.

Tax Manager:

The Tax Manager will be responsible for managing all US and Foreign tax compliance functions within consolidated groups.  The current operations are in the United States, Australia, Netherlands, Japan, Germany and Spain. This position is responsible for managing day-to-day aspects of the Company's tax activities, including FAS 109 income tax accounting and tax provision, U.S. tax compliance including transfer pricing, management and oversight of the foreign tax compliance.  This includes supporting the implementation of U.S. international related tax planning as well as special projects; Manage day-to-day reporting for SFAS No. 109, accounting for income taxes and Sarbanes-Oxley; Calculate quarterly and annual tax provisions ensuring all material book/tax differences are properly reflected; Manage day-to-day US and foreign tax compliance matters including transfer pricing and foreign tax credit; Support business in global expansion and provide non-U.S. tax analysis for business decisions; Lead implementation of tax planning, acquisitions and divestitures; Oversee US and foreign income tax audits; Oversee the managing of the non US and foreign tax outsourcing; Coordinate various internal employee tax education activities, including presentations to enable tax planning; Lead preparation and review of U.S. Federal Consolidated Returns including the completion and/or review of various consolidated return elections, statements and attachments; Integrate International tax reporting requirements and the impact into the Consolidated return process; Lead the preparation and review of separate company state/local income/franchise or net worth returns ensuring final returns are complete and correct in all material respects and are prepared consistent with recommended filing positions; Lead the preparation and review of unitary, combined or consolidated state income/franchise returns as assigned; Research technical tax inquiries in a timely manner; Prepare and maintain the tax calendar; Manage and coordinate federal, state and local tax audits; Maintain and enhance technical knowledge of federal, state and international compliance as well as general tax expertise and contribute to the overall goals and objectives of the department; Identify and communicate tax compliance issues requiring research to Senior Management; Assist with the coordination and completion of other tax related projects as needed and Other duties may be assigned. Applicant must have at least a BA in Finance, Accounting or related field with a minimum of 8 years work experience preferably in international tax in "Big 4 Public Accounting", large cooperate experience or in the absence of a degree, fourteen years related experience; 5-7 years of progressive responsibility in broad areas of accounting; CPA or advanced business degree is desirable; International experience is a plus; Strong analytical and problem solving skills; Excellent project management, organizing and planning skills; Strong knowledge of US and foreign tax accounting principles and internal controls; Proficiency to present complex business issues to all levels of management; Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment; Strong interpersonal and communication skill; Ability to lead effectively in a cross-divisional environment; Demonstrated orientation to action in a flexible, fast-paced work environment and Ability and willingness to travel as needed.
